Mission

Primary Health Care are an integral part of the health system, as well as of the social, economic and global development of the community. They reflect the socio-cultural and economic characteristics of the society in which they are inserted, they are oriented towards the resolution of the main health problems of the community, they imply the participation of all development sectors, they require and encourage community participation and self-responsibility.

The activities developed by the USF “Tempo de Cuidar” team aims to improve the health level of the population enrolled through the provision of more personalized health care, ensuring good accessibility and continuity of care, always taking into account the different social and family contexts in which the individual/family is inserted.

Mission

To promote users’ health and disease prevention, as well as the management of acute and chronic health problems, taking into account their physical, psychological, social and cultural dimensions, through a person-centred approach, oriented towards the individual, his/her family and the community in which he/she lives.

To use and profit from the available resources, for a greater professional satisfaction of the group and an improvement in the population’s quality of life.

To provide quality care in Primary Health Care, according to the technical guidelines of the DGS, favouring preventive attitudes without neglecting acute care or the monitoring of chronic illnesses;

Improve care coverage and accessibility for users, reorganising services so as to meet the expectations of users and professionals;

To maintain a nucleus of continuous pre-graduate and post-graduate training in General Practice and Family Medicine and Nursing in Primary Health Care;

To contribute to research in Primary Health Care.

We want to be a USF of reference in Primary Health Care, focused on the interests of users and families and satisfying their health needs, ensuring accessibility, comprehensiveness and continuity of care to our users, contributing to their satisfaction as well as that of the professionals who integrate it.
